Day 1: ADDIS ABABA – DIRE DAWA (flight) – HARAR
You will start your journey with a short morning flight from Addis Ababa (Ethiopia’s capital) to Dire Dawa, a lively city with busy markets. From Dire Dawa, you will drive to Harar, a very old city with historic walls. Harar is famous for its colorful houses, narrow streets, and many mosques. Spend your first day exploring the city’s unique atmosphere.

Day 2: HARAR
Today, you will discover more of Harar, a UNESCO world heritage site. Visit the Harari Cultural Museum to learn about local traditions, shop for handmade crafts and fresh coffee in the markets, and watch an exciting evening ritual where local people feed wild hyenas outside the city walls. This is a special experience you will never forget!
Overnight Harar.
Day 3: HARAR – DIRE DAWA – ADDIS ABABA (flight)
On your final day, return to Dire Dawa by road. If there is time, you can see the city’s old train station or historic buildings before flying back to Addis Ababa. You will leave with amazing memories of Harar’s culture, history, and natural beauty.
